In Germany it is not possible to regularly register your car if you don't have a permanent German address. Renting is one possibility, but what if you want to tour Europe for several months so that renting would be too expensive. Or if you have found a cool camper and want to take it to your home country after your trip.

Well, there is one exception - when you buy the car for exporting it. Good idea, but there are some hurdles to overcome: foreign language, unknown system, different rules, the "famous" German administration...
